DHL Balloon in Singapore

Try out the DHL Balloon for an aerial view of Singapore

DHL Balloon is the world’s largest tethered helium balloon and it’s been cleared by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. Manufactured in France at S$ 2 million , this balloon system is the only one of its kind approved and certified as an aircraft. Requiring 6, 500 cubic meters of helium , it took more than 12 hours and 40 crew members to inflate.

The DHL Balloon is located downtown at Tan Quee Lan Street , Bugis , and provides a trip taking you 150 meters into the air before returning to the ground. This provides you with a 360 degree unobstructed view of the harbor , city and surrounding areas. On a clear day you can see all the way into Malaysia.

The viewing platform is sturdy and you are able to walk around it easily. The DHL Balloon can carry up to 29 people per flight. A wire cable connects the balloon to the ground and a hydroelectric winch controls the whole system.

The balloon flies every 30 minutes from 11:00 to 22:00 daily , weather permitting. Tickets for the 10-minute flight are at S$23.00 (adult), S$13.00 (child aged 3 to 12 years) and S$2.00 (toddler).

For those who had been up there , do feel free to share your flight experience with us.

Information Improvisation:

Make sure that you get domestic flights for your flights to phoenix if you are looking for discount travel. Only by saving here can you afford radisson hotels or the more prestigious washington hotel rooms. The san francisco hotel is another far fetched idea.
