Visit Singapore - A little Red Dot on the map known as Singapore

Singapore , a little Red Dot - People once called Singapore ' a little red dot '. Very true indeed that Singapore is just a little dot on the world map. It is a small nation without any natural resources , located in South-East Asia at the southern tip of the Malaysian Peninsula. It has a total land area of 633 square kilometer and has 193 km of coastline.

Little Red Dot is now a uniquely Singapore brand name and is proudly acknowledged by all Singaporeans as evidence that Singapore's stability and progress is far greater than warranted by its size. It is amazing how this little red dot on the globe and a vulnerable tiny country has become a prosperous , stable and respected member of the international community.

The outside world gave Singapore little chance of survival when it was granted independence in 1965. Today this Little Red Dot is a thriving Asian metropolis with not only the world's number one Singapore airport , and busiest seaport of trade , but also one of the world's highest per capita real income.

Singapore is a Fine City - Singapore is famous for being one of the safest and cleanest city in the world. Tourists will be astonished and impressed by the strict rules and regulations formed by the Singapore government. There are many posters in buildings and parks telling people what they should do, what they shouldn't do and how much they will be fined if they break the rules. That is the reason why Singapore is called "a fine city".

The Singaporean government wants to establish a clean and green country where all citizens are well educated and are considerate to others. Therefore they have set many strict rules as well as put a lot of instructions and reminders in public places so that people always remember what they aren't allowed to do and everything is orderly. Children are taught at school and in their family, right from very early ages, about what they should do and how to behave in this society.
